If you choose a day that coincides with holiday periods, large project deadlines or during the week you may find that your attendance rate may well be poor.

When your event is not a secret staff should be involved with in the process. Now were not saying ask everyone’s opinion on every little decision as that would just create mayhem.

But when are all some choices to make, and even in the initial stages try to find out what your staff would like and enjoy.

This can help the entire company feel involved in the events planning process and will also increase attendance.

Whether you’re hiring caterers, speakers, presenters, entertainers or any other sort of professional never think to yourself… “We can do that for cheaper.”

Trying to save money by avoiding professionals is a surefire way to invite mistakes, accidents and disaster into your corporate event.

These people professionals and will have your back if things go wrong during your corporate event and they will have the expertise and experience to deal with that situation.

Corporate Event Mistake #4 – Excessive Alcohol

Some corporate event planners think that they can make their guests happy by scrimping in some areas so that there is more budget for the ‘free bar’.

When your staff will appreciate a free drink, if they get more than two, things can start to get out of hand. Of course, if your guests are paying for their own drinks after two complementary ones, it will help with their self-regulation.

The problem arises when the alcohol is supplied free of charge and guests try to drink in order to get their money’s worth as it were.

We don’t need to tell you how disruptive extremely inebriated people can be.

Corporate Event Mistake #5 – If It Can Go Wrong…It Will

When you’re creating your plan you need to have backups that every single eventuality.

Assume that if it can go wrong, it will.

That way you can make sure and double check your ready for every eventuality even if the primary method fails. Don’t just imagine these backup procedures make sure that you create a document clearly outlining what should happen in the event of a failure.
