Optical Illusion: Moving Text

While this is a pretty basic optical illusion, it is still pretty cool. All you need to do is read the text from top to bottom, and in the process you will notice the optical illusion that some of the lines of text move to the right, and some to the left.

If you find that the text is not moving, just allow your eyes to look up and down while you focus on the image. This should help you to see the movement.

This type of optical illusion is known as a ‘moving illusion’. This term refers to any static image that through the use shape position and contracting colour, produce the illusion of movement.
